- Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
- Project-based, hands-on, outside activities
- Participation in authentic science experiments and field work
- Community-based problem solving and service learning focused on environmental issues impacting Maui
- Preparation for advanced science and math work in high school
- A small school experience. There will be 48 students for the 2007-08 school year (24 in 6 th grade and 24 in 7 th grade)
- An integrated program which includes an additional emphasis on language arts, social studies, artistic expression, health, wellness, and physical fitness
- An experience that extends beyond the “regular school day” through extracurricular activities, math and writing enrichment, service learning projects, extension activities, student competitions, etc.
